Author's note
These short stories were written over the past decade; I have sought to capture that which doesn't translate easily into
journalism or commentary.
The characters, events and settings in this collection of short stories are fictitious. They represent solely the workings
of the author's imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, is unintentional and purely coincidental.
A storyteller can't work in isolation. I've greatly benefited from the perceptive editorial suggestions of Carl and Julie
Flanders, and of John Griffin.
