Hotel Marseilles

The Hotel Marseilles, a distinctive Beaux-Arts style apartment hotel, was constructed in 1902-05 and is situated at the corner of West 103rd Street and Broadway. It was used by the United Service for New Americans to shelter Displaced Persons (DPs) as they arrived in New York in the late 1940s. (Little-known fact: Humphrey Bogart’s childhood home was just up the street on 103rd Street.)
